Privacy Policy

Anvil Road LLC runs North Pole Bureau ("we", "us"). This page says what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short on purpose.

Who this site is for

This site is for adults. A parent or guardian orders a letter for a child. We never contact a child. We never ask a child for anything. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

What we collect

For the letter. Your child's first name and age, and any details you choose to add, such as a pet's name, a hobby, or something they are proud of. You decide what to share. We ask for a town or state at most, never a street address, a school, a birthday or a photo.

For the order. Your email address, so we can send your confirmation and your download links. For a mailed letter, the name and postal address it should go to.

For payment. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your card number.

On the site. Standard analytics through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics: pages visited, browser type, rough location. This does not include anything you type into the letter form.

How the letter is written

The details you give are sent to an AI writing service to draft Santa's letter. You read the whole letter and can change it before you buy. The details are used to write your letter and for nothing else. They are not used to train the AI.

How we use your information

• To write, print, mail or deliver your letter.
• To send you order emails: confirmation, download links, and mailing updates.
• To answer you when you write to us.
• To keep the site working and to spot problems.

We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

Who else touches it

A few services help us run the Bureau. Each one sees only what it needs.

• Stripe, for payment.
• Anthropic, whose AI drafts the letter from your details.
• Resend, which sends our emails.
• Supabase and Vercel, which host the site and its records.
• Google, for analytics.

How long we keep it

We keep your order and letter for the Christmas season it was made for, so we can answer questions and send a fresh download link if you lose one. After the season we keep the order record for our accounts and remove the letter details.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete what we hold about you. Reply to any order email, or write to support@northpolebureau.com. We will answer within a few days.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep your draft letter while you write it and for analytics. You can turn cookies off in your browser. The letter form will still work; it just will not remember a half-finished draft.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes will be called out on this page.
