About the Bureau

The North Pole Bureau is an imaginary office with a real purpose. It exists so that a letter from Santa can be about your child, not about a child in general.
Who we are
The Bureau is published by Anvil Road LLC, a small family company that makes keepsakes and printed things. We are parents. We have bought the fill-in-the-blank Santa letters, and we have watched a seven-year-old notice that the letter did not know anything about her. That is where this started.
How a letter gets written
You tell the Bureau a few things only a parent knows. A writing system trained to write in Santa’s voice drafts the letter from those details, and only those details. Then a check runs on every draft: if it mentions a pet you did not name, a school, a sibling, or anything you did not tell us, the draft is thrown away and written again. You read the result before you pay. You can ask for it warmer, funnier or shorter, or change the words yourself. The version you approve is the version that prints.
What arrives
One page on heavy cream stationery with the Bureau seal at the head and Santa’s signature at the foot, in a sealed envelope addressed to your child. Or a printable PDF in color and in black and white, minutes after you approve it. The Deluxe edition adds a Nice List certificate with your child’s name.

The seal, the wax and the signature are the same on every letter. What changes is everything in between.
What we will never do
- Contact your child, or ask for a child’s email, birthday, school or photo.
- Invent a detail about your child. The letter uses what you gave us and nothing else.
- Print a letter you have not read.
- Pretend a letter is tracked, postmarked from the North Pole, or guaranteed by a date. It is ordinary letter post, sent with care.
- Sell your details, or use them to train anything.
Questions
The questions parents ask page answers most things. For anything else, reply to any order email or write to support@northpolebureau.com. A person answers.
